Round windows and windows and doors with partially curved areas have been used in construction for more than a hundred years. In the past, these were made of wood, and due to the technological limitations of that time, most structures did not have an opening function. Today, the usage and construction methods of buildings have changed, and consequently, the requirements for windows and doors have also evolved. Current standards impose particularly high demands on thermal insulation and airtightness for new buildings to reduce energy consumption and ensure a comfortable indoor climate. For several decades, it has been possible to produce structures with curved areas and limited opening functionality using aluminum profiles. As a result, many modern buildings are equipped with windows and doors featuring curved areas, and in some renovation projects, wooden structures have been replaced with aluminum constructions.
